Los Premios de LONDON FILM CRITICS' CIRCLE

Los premios London Film Critics ' Circle fueron entregados el pasado 10 de Febrero en la capital Británica. Adelantándose a los Oscar, estos premios favorecieron a la película sobre el creador de Facebook: "La Red Social" con cuatro premios "gong" del círculo .

El drama de David Fincher sobre las supuestas maniobras maquiavélicas de su fundador, Mark Zuckerberg, en los primeros días de la creación del famoso sitio web Facebook ha sido uno de los grandes favoritos para los Oscar de este año junto con la gran apuesta de Gran Bretaña "El Discurso del Rey", y el remake del western "True Grit"  (Valor de Ley) de los hermanos Coen.  En los Premios del Círculo de los críticos londinenses "La Red Social" se llevó cuatro premios, incluyendo mejor película, director y guionista del año que fue para el guionista Aaron Sorkin, quien recibió los cuatro premios del filme.

"El discurso del Rey", la recreación de Tom Hooper sobre las tribulaciones del tartamudo rey George VI, tuvo que contentarse con tres premios: actor del año para Colin Firth, mejor película británica del año y mejor director británico del año. Firth, quien también ganó el premio del actor del año en 2010 por "A Single Man" , y es un claro favorito para los Oscar de este año, perdió a Christian Bale el premio del Actor Británico del año por "The Fighter". 

El premio de la Actriz del Año fue concedido a Annette Bening por su interpretación de una madre lesbiana cuya vida se ve enturbiada por la llegada del padre de sus hijos genéticos en  "The Kids Are All Right". 

Gareth Edwards ganó el premio al Cineasta Revelación Británico por su cuento de ciencia ficción "Monsters".  

La Mejor Película en Lengua Extranjera del Año fue otorgado a la película aclamada por la crítica francesa de Cannes, "De dioses y Hombres" dirigida por Xavier Beauvois.

El premio de la Actriz Británica del Año fue a parar a Lesley Manvillepor su papel en la película de Mike Leigh "Another Year".
